Supporting Skills Development in the Industry through special Partnerships

In partnership with The Student Hub Online, we would like to invite members to participate in this programme that is aimed at bridging the gap between the skills demanded and supply in the industry – more specifically in the hospitality sector.

This is a sponsored work experience programme, where FEDHASA and our member properties, could play the role of being the host employers for TVET learners to receive work experience for a period of 9 – 12 months.

The great news is that the youth’s stipends would be fully paid for, for the duration of the work experience and the hosting partner organisation would also receive a hosting fee for agreeing to provide on-the-job training for the youth.

To express your interest, please complete and sign the letter of intent and send it back by 31 July 2022 to Itumeleng.lentsoane@thestudenthub.co.zac/c rema@fedhasacape.co.za.

Please note that it is only a letter of intent and will not be binding. This will support our application as The Student Hub Online, to the UIF for funding for this programme, on behalf of the industry. We understand that the hospitality industry is seasonal and, once everything is confirmed, we would send MOUs only to the member organisations that would confirm at the time of implementation, that they are indeed able to host youth and can confirm time periods and the number of youth and any other details required.

For any queries please feel free to reach out to Itumeleng on the following details: Itumeleng.lentsoane@thestudenthub.co.za – 082 627 9860

We look forward to receiving your response and working together in upskilling the unemployed youth of SA.
