The energy crisis is rapidly changing our industry and it is becoming increasingly difficult for many of us to operate our businesses under these circumstances. The City of Cape Town has therefore released an energy strategy for stakeholders to review and comment on.
The strategy titled ‘Our Shared Energy Future: The 2050 Energy Strategy for the City of Cape Town’, aims to achieve energy security for Cape Town so that we no longer have to bear the brunt of loadshedding.
FEDHASA members are encouraged to review the strategy carefully and to provide your comments. Your feedback is essential in helping Cape Town create a strong energy system that will benefit all in the years to come.
The strategy can be accessed here. You will have until 31 July 2023 to provide your comments and feedback. We also encourage you to share this with your networks so that they can participate as well.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact the City’s Energy Directorate at energy.comments@capetown.gov.za.
Let’s do this for Cape Town!
