Let’s help Cape Town snatch 9 awards at World Travel Awards Africa

Cape Town has once again been nominated across different categories for the prestigious World Travel Awards Africa Region 2023 – highly regarded as the gold standard award within the travel and tourism industry.

Bringing global attention to local destinations, attractions and operators, these awards will bring more and more tourists to our shore each year and ultimately enable our tourism industry to continue breathing life into our regional economy.

Of course, our beloved Mother City and all it has to offer has already claimed an entire cabinet of other prestigious accolades. One of these includes Condé Nast Traveller readers who ranked Cape Town as the 9th best city in the world.

The UK’s Telegraph newspaper has also named Cape Town the third-best global city, and the Halaal Travel Awards (2022) awarded the city with the Most Promising Muslim-friendly City Destination of The Year.

When the metro is awarded for its destination appeal, it makes headlines and reminds travellers why they should visit us – again!

This year, Cape Town is nominated in nine categories:

  • Cape Town International Airport in the category of Africa’s Leading Airport.
  • Robben Island, Table Mountain and V&A Waterfront for Africa’s Leading Tourist Attraction.
  • The Port of Cape Town in the Africa’s Leading Cruise Port category.
