Immigration lawyer Julian Pokroy comments on pending ZEP Exemption court ruling

While judgement on the ZEP Exemption court ruling is reserved, immigration lawyer, Julian Pokroy provided the following update to FEDHASA on the matter:

Judgement in the matter of the Helen Suzman Foundation in which it was sought , by way of application to the High Court, for setting aside of the Minister’s decision not to extend the ZEP exemptions past the end of June 2023,was reserved.

The Registrar of the High Court has up to date not yet informed when the judgement of the three judges will be handed down.

With the end of June deadline fast approaching it is now critical that the matter be dealt with by way of urgency.

It is not possible to predict when that date will be but you will be informed once the judgement has been handed down together with a summary of the content of the judgement.
