Webinar: What to expect from China’s travel market over the upcoming Chinese New Year holiday and beyond

Three years ago, China first implemented major travel restrictions during the Chinese New Year holiday. This New Year, the country has finally reopened, with no domestic travel restrictions or quarantine-on-return for international travelers. So what should we expect from China’s travel market over the upcoming Chinese New Year holiday and beyond?

In Dragon Trail’s first webinar of the year, we’re teaming up with leading travel analysts ForwardKeys to give you a snapshot of Chinese travel plans just as the Lunar New Year holiday season kicks off. ForwardKeys will share data on domestic and international flight bookings from China during 2023 so far, as well as for the upcoming New Year holiday period. Then, we’ll take you through the results of Dragon Trail’s January 2023 Chinese Traveler Sentiment Survey. The results will reveal where Chinese travelers most want to go, their international travel plans for 2023, top sources of destination information, and which factors might encourage or dissuade them from traveling abroad. Based on the survey findings, we’ll also offer recommendations for marketing to Chinese travelers and the travel trade this year.
