National Treasury issues cost-cutting guidelines for government departments

National Treasury has issued cost-control guidelines for government departments as part of an effort to manage spending leading up to the mid-term Budget in November.

These guidelines, communicated through a letter to all government departments, address fiscal challenges and propose cost-cutting measures. While the guidelines are detailed and lengthy, they are of particular interest to FEDHASA members and the industry in two key areas:
