The Department of Employment and Labour has Gazetted the National Minimum Wage for the 2023 to 2024 period.
The revised 2023/2024 national minimum rate is R25.42 per ordinary hour worked – up from R23.19 as prescribed for the previous period (March 2022 to end of February 2023)
The new minimum takes effect on 1 March 2023 and runs through to 29 February 2024.
