MICE Industry Research

The School of Tourism and Hospitality at the University of Johannesburg is conducting research on the resilience and recovery of the MICE sector post-COVID 19.

The research, conducted under the supervision of Prof Tembi M. Tichaawa, seeks to explore the resilience and adaptability of the MICE industry (of South Africa) that has been and continues to be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hospitality venue suppliers within this industry, specifically those based in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, and Durban are invited to complete the online survey to determine the ability of MICE venue suppliers to respond to and manage the long-term changes brought forth by COVID-19. The link to the survey is https://forms.gle/fr96WXqqPXEEcpph6.

If you have any concerns or questions related to the study in general, or the items in the questionnaire, please contact the researchers, Ms Refiloe J. Lekgau (rlekgau@uj.ac.za) or Prof Tembi M. Tichaawa (tembit@uj.ac.za).
