Minister Lindiwe Sisulu was warmly welcomed into the position of Minister of Tourism on 5 August 2021 with the hope and faith that Minister Sisulu will bring about the necessary catalytic change needed in our industry to elevate South Africa to unprecedented heights – as an international destination of choice.
Minister Sisulu has extensive experience in Government having been a Member of Parliament since 1994 and having been Minister of International Relations and Cooperation from 27 February 2018 to 25 May 2019 and Minister of Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation from 30 May 2019 to 5 August 2021. Minister Lindiwe Nonceba Sisulu was also the Minister of Human Settlements of the Republic of South Africa from 26 May 2014 until 26 February 2018.
Minister Sisulu has been chairperson of the Inaugural African Ministerial Conference on Housing and Urban Development since 2005. Minister Sisulu is also a member of the National Executive Committee of the African National Congress (ANC) and a member of the National Working Committee of the ANC.
Prior to STR, Robin was a Senior Director in Deloitte’s Global Hospitality Advisory Team in London. During his 13 years with Deloitte, he was a specialist hotel industry advisor – supporting clients on their growth strategy, business planning, investment appraisal, market reviews, financial and commercial due diligence, IPOs, debt advisory, valuation, financial assurance, controls improvement and risk management.
Robin is a born and bred South African, and despite living in London will always be.
Bronwyn Kilroe is a Team Building Specialist, TEDx Speaker, Certified Laughter Coach and the owner of Laughter Sessions. She has a BA degree in Industrial Psychology and Drama from Rhodes University.
