FEDHASA Cape Waterwise Pledge

FEDHASA Cape supports the Western Cape Province and the City of Cape Town’s Water Saving initiatives, and we challenge all Associations and Businesses to take urgent action to save water

We had a full house at the Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel last Thursday with robust conversation and engagement between Hotel General Managers and expert panel. The discussion revolved around challenges and initiatives specific to hotels.

Our Panel consisted of: Lea Smith (IOPSA), Jeff Rosenberg (FEDHASA Cape Chairperson), Minister Alan Winde (Minister for Economic Opportunities, Western Cape), Councillor Xanthea Limberg (the Mayoral Committee Member responsible for informal settlements, water and waste services for the City of Cape Town)

Presentations by:

All General Managers and properties in attendance committed to being Water Wise by signing a Pledge. The details to the commitment was announced by Jeff Rosenberg where all attendees were given a copy to take away with them to be signed and displayed at their properties.
