Industry briefing by MEC David Maynier on Omicron Variant

On Sunday, 28 November 2021, President Cyril Ramaphosa addressed the nation on the new variant of the coronavirus identified by scientists in South Africa. The World Health Organisation (WHO) named it Omicron and declared it a ‘variant of concern’.

In light of the developments regarding the re-imposition of international travel restrictions on South Africa, MEC David Maynier briefed the Tourism Industry on Tuesday, 30 November 2021.
