Based on the spirit of the adjustments to Level 1 restrictions earlier this week, below are some of the practical requirements that are rendered obsolete, as well as the associated legislation:
- Temperature checks and registers to record guests’ details (which guests find invasive and upsetting)
- Social distancing restrictions
- Banning of hotel buffets
- Restrictions on number of guests in buildings and in vehicles
- Restricted use of facilities
FEDHASA wrote to Minister Sisulu to request her intervention to have these restrictions removed, so as to assist the industry.
