It’s time: ‘Experience the Garden Route’

The Garden Route and Klein Karoo region is one of the most beautiful assets of the Western Cape and it is time to showcase all this region has to offer.

The Garden Route District Municipality recently launched the ‘Experience Garden Route’ joint marketing organisation in collaboration with Wesgro, FEDHASA Cape, SATSA, as well as local tourism offices in the Garden Route.

The aim of this collaboration is to promote tourism in the Garden Route and Klein Karoo and to showcase these beautiful Western Cape assets and their unique attractions.

The regions will now be promoted to the domestic and international traveller in a joint approach, supported by Government, together with the private sector. Stakeholders will be able to leverage strategic cohesiveness and use resources more efficiently in areas including marketing and promotion, events, strategic initiatives (including cruise and air route development), and tourism.

“Two heads are always better than one and through participation and collaboration, we can work together to showcase this region as a destination of choice for the international as well as local travellers. FEDHASA Cape is excited and takes great pride in this partnership,” says Lee-Anne Singer, FEDHASA Cape Chair.

Monika Iuel, Chief Destination Marketing Officer of Wesgro adds: “We look forward to working with our partners and industry stakeholders to ensure that the Garden Route and Klein Karoo stay top-of-mind and to welcome many more local and international visitors.”
