Invitation: Inaugural Cannabis Indaba

The global Cannabis market was estimated to be valued at US$24 billion in 2022 and is expected to grow to about US$82.3 billion by 2027. In 2021, the South African Cannabis industry had an estimated business value of R87. 7 million and is expected to grow exponentially during this decade.

The Research Directorate at CPUT has facilitated the establishment of a Transdisciplinary Team to conduct research on how underprivileged communities within the Western Cape can join the “Cannabis Rush” and be part of the billion-dollar Cannabis Value Chain in order to transform their socio-economic status. The CPUT’s Transdisciplinary Research Project Team on Cannabis therefore invites you, as a “Cannabis Stakeholder”, to the inaugural Cannabis Indaba and the details of the event are as follows:
