DATE CHANGE: FEDHASA in collaboration with Absa, offers specialist Business Development & Support to our SME Members

The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the South African tourism and hospitality industries. As a result, the sustainability of the industry has been largely dependent on the domestic consumer and traveller. According to the Tourism 2020 report released by Statistics South Africa, foreign arrivals dropped by 71% between 2019 and 2020.

Small businesses have been particularly hard hit by the pandemic. However, with government’s increased vaccination drive and South Africa moving to alert level 2, the 2021 summer season is showing some promising signs of recovery.

Against this background, FEDHASA has recognised the need to support small businesses in the industry to help rebuild, grow and thrive.

Leveraging off our long-standing partnership with Absa, FEDHASA Cape is excited to announce that we are collaborating with Absa and SMTAX on an exclusive Business Development Programme, aimed at upskilling SMEs and assisting them in becoming funding ready.
